How This Project Came Together

This Vernon project poured a 24' x 52' foundation beside the property's existing metal building, sized for an RV cover going up over it.
The crew graded and formed the 52-foot run alongside the existing building, placed reinforcement through the pad, and poured the slab in one placement. The surface was screeded flat down its full length and finished smooth, with the edge along the building worked clean against the standing structure.
Challenge
An RV pad's flatness matters more than most slabs' — a coach parked for months on an out-of-level surface sits on its jacks wrong, and doors and slides show every low spot. Holding true flatness over a 52-foot run is where long pads usually fail, sagging or crowning somewhere in the middle where a short screed can't tell.
Solution
The crew screeded the pour off the forms in consistent passes down the length of the pad, checking the run as placement moved rather than at the end when nothing could be fixed.
