A 24' x 52' concrete foundation for an RV cover in Vernon, Texas. The long pad was graded and formed alongside the property's metal building, reinforcement was placed, and the slab was poured and finished smooth — a full-length parking pad sized for an RV with room to spare.
Scope of Work
- Grading & forming
- Reinforcement
- Slab pour
- Smooth finish

How This Project Came Together
An RV needs more than a place to park — it needs a pad long enough for the full coach, flat enough that the rig sits level in storage, and strong enough to carry that weight in the same wheel paths every time it pulls in. This Vernon project poured a 24' x 52' foundation beside the property's existing metal building, sized for an RV cover going up over it.
The crew graded and formed the 52-foot run alongside the existing building, placed reinforcement through the pad, and poured the slab in one placement. The surface was screeded flat down its full length and finished smooth, with the edge along the building worked clean against the standing structure.
Challenge
An RV pad's flatness matters more than most slabs' — a coach parked for months on an out-of-level surface sits on its jacks wrong, and doors and slides show every low spot. Holding true flatness over a 52-foot run is where long pads usually fail, sagging or crowning somewhere in the middle where a short screed can't tell.
Solution
The crew screeded the pour off the forms in consistent passes down the length of the pad, checking the run as placement moved rather than at the end when nothing could be fixed. Reinforcement through the slab handles the concentrated axle loads an RV puts down in the same tracks every time it parks.
Result
The property has a flat, full-length 24' x 52' pad ready for its cover — an RV-sized foundation that parks the coach level today and anchors the cover structure that will shade it. Poured beside the existing building, it completes the property's parking and storage setup.
